Lake McQueeney Area Guide

Lake McQueeney is a reservoir on the Guadalupe River. The reservoir is located just 5 miles west of Seguin in Guadalupe County and was formed in 1928 when a dam was constructed to provide hydroelectric power to this region. The dam and lake were managed by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority beginning on May 1, 1963. The majority of the lake is 10 feet deep with even deeper sections along the center channel. The central attraction here is Treasure Island, and Lake McQueeney is a popular venue for outdoor recreation including fishing, boating, and swimming.
